Canada goose – Branta Canadensis

The Canada Goose as brown plumage with clear piping, black head and neck, cheeks and white throat. The chest is whitish.
According to the the subspecies, there may be variations in the colors of the plumage. The lower parts are clear, almost white at the tail. The legs and beak are black.
It is found in North America, England, France and New Zealand.
Vegetarian exclusively, it consumes grasses, reeds, aquatic plants, cereals, molluscs.Canada goose reaches sexual maturity at 2 or 3 years old (sometimes 1), captive breeding season begins in late February and ends in late June. It adopts different types of nest  as box, tipi, hut, open nests . It lays 3 to 8 eggs and incubates 28 days, the male stands guard during the brooding and both parents raise the young.
