Emperor Goose – Chen canagica
The emperor goose is a water bird belonging to the Anatidae family.
It measures between 66 and 89 cm. Its plumage is gray scaly except the head, the back of the neck and the tail are white. The legs are orange.
It lives mainly in maritime areas on coastal environments (Siberia…)
Breeding begins in March and the nest is usually placed near water.
The species is not considered threatened, it is particularly vulnerable to climate change.
